Holds the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit for its reliable performance, stability of colour and form, and good resistance to pests and diseases. A lovely low maintenance deciduous shrub that needs little pruning once established. Needs shelter and moderately fertile, humus rich soils. Will thrive in chalky sites. Height 2m. 50-60cm loose rooted shrub supplied.
