Originating in the foothills of the Himalayas, this Musa rivals Musa basjoo for hardiness and its thicker, stronger leaves are more windproof and more colourful and hardier than sikkimensis Bengal Tiger. ‘Ever Red’retains its red leaf colour for longer during the summer in comparison to Bengal Tiger.
Plants will thrive outdoors in mild areas if given some protection or they can be grown in containers and moved into a frost-free position over winter. Height and spread: 3-4m (10-13ft). 15cm pot
