Chaenomeles x superba Crimson and Gold

A small deciduous shrub. It has a bushy spreading habit and is ideal trained against a wall. It has exquisite red flowers with showy yellow centres in the spring, followed by scented yellow fruits in the autumn. These should be treated like cooking apples before eating. Hardy, best in sun/part shade, any soil.
