A graceful deciduous shrub that is highly sought after for it's spectacular fragrant foxglove flowers in clusters during April/May. The flowers are creamy white, pink flushed with orange markings, loved by bees. These are followed by papery fruits. Fully hardy. Thrives in any fertile soil, even chalk.

The rare hydrangea like 'Chinese quinine'. A really special evergreen which is a member of the hydrangea family. In Chinese medicine it's roots are used to treat malaria. It has rich green leaves, & round flower buds which open into starry pink or blue flowers. These then develop into glossy indigo berries. Happy in some shade with moist soil.
